Alto Corrientes Health Care Fund (ACHCF)

from Lightway Medical

In 1993, Dr. Richard J. Chacon (Professor of Anthropology at Winthrop University,SC) began conducting ethnographic research among the Achuar (Shiwiar) of the Ecuadorian Amazon. His investigation focused on blowgun hunting in the Achuar of the village of Alto Corrientes. Currently, he continues to collaborate with members of the Achuar community on a number of research topics. As part of an effort to meet the health care needs of villagers, in partnership with Shell Hospital in Ecuador, Dr. Chacon established the Alto Corrientes Health Care Fund (ACHCF). Please help the Achuar villagers of Alto Corrientes meet their basic health care needs by donating to the ACHCF. To make a donation to the ACHCF, click on this secure link.
